Publisher's description:

Faith Herbert can finally admit that she’s not a regular teen. Thankfully, her two best friends, Matt and Ches, are now in on her superhero secret. But after the chaos of her first semester, Faith just wants to end her senior year on a normal note—enjoying all the hallmarks of graduating high school—like prom! And, possibly, getting to attend college in the fall.

A new teacher has taken over journalism class, and Faith is only occasionally reminded of the empty spot left by Colleen Bristow, the quiet nerd-turned-supervillain. That is, until Faith hears from Peter that other psiots have been going missing, and he suspects that her old classmate is somehow involved. Faith decides the only way to get to the bottom of it is to find Colleen—before enemies can get to her first.

As her search starts to collide with the memorable senior year she’s been hoping for, Faith learns that you gotta have faith…that sometimes fate will point you in the right direction.

My review:

Faith Herbert is a newly-minted superhero, known as a psiot, in her senior year of high school. After her old classmate, Colleen Bristow, is suspected of being involved in other psiots going missing, Faith decides the only way to get to the bottom of it is to find her… until Colleen waltzes back into school one day as if nothing odd has ever happened. Something fishy is going on. As Faith investigates, she must navigate changes at home and struggles with her friends, both new and old, all while trying to do all the normal senior year things, like prom and deciding what do to after graduation.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration on it. Faith is overwhelmed with a lot going on in her senior year and makes both good and bad decisions as she navigates change after change. While there is peril, there are also a lot of heartwarming moments. I really enjoyed the book and would love to read more about Faith in this novel format. Unfortunately, according to comments by the author, this will be the last book about Faith written by Julie Murphy at least. Faith Herbert is a Valiant Comics superhero who first appeared in graphic novels. I plan on picking up the graphic novels too.

My 14-year old daughter has also really enjoyed both the first Faith novel and this one.

Fun stuff:
